The study suggests that authentic leadership, particularly its dimensions of internalized moral perspective, relational transparency, and balanced processing, is compatible with Islamic values and contributes to lower turnover intentions among employees in Islamic banks. The lack of significance for self-awareness is attributed to the Islamic belief that God's will is paramount over individual self.
Internalized moral perspective, relational transparency, and balanced processing are associated with lower turnover intentions. Self-awareness was not found to have a significant relationship with turnover intentions. Authentic leadership style is compatible with Islamic values.
Authentic leadership dimensions are important in reducing turnover intentions in the Islamic banking sector. Managers in this sector should focus on these dimensions and explore other human resource practices compatible with Islamic principles to retain employees.
