Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether art and music therapy may help people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) develop better social skills. This study examined pre- and post-treatment social skills assessments in a sample of people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) using quantitative methodologies. Estimates of the effect sizes supported this result once more. Comprehensive data structures, subgroup analyses, and qualitative data are presented in the appendix to substantiate the assertions made about the benefits of art and music therapy in promoting social interaction, internalizing emotions, and improving the general quality of life of people with ASD. These findings emphasize the value of holistic approaches to supporting people with neurodevelopmental disorders and add to the increasing body of research demonstrating the benefits of using alternative therapies in the management of ASD. According to the results, this population's social skill development is greatly benefited by art and music therapy.
