The Sufi dance has been a battle of ideas, whose historical status cannot be denied, that is why many people have been commenting on Sufi dance in different ways. Even some Sufi masters and scholars have been trying to prove mystical dance with Qur'anic verses, considering it as a part of religion, a means of access to Allah. Their mystical interpretations are often beyond the comprehension of the common people. Therefore, other people begin it practically to consider misguidance as a religion. And some fanatics, under the guise of this, provide for themselves the fulfillment of desires and pave the way for all kinds of dances. This can be devastating to society and civilization. This article will examine the research and critique of Sufi dance. Initially it will be the explained and discussed under the light of the holy Quran and the Hadith. Secondly, the position of the four Imams regarding the Sufi dance will be discussed in the light of the Qur'an and Hadith. In addition, the introduction of Allama Suyuti, the methods of compilation and his interpretive style of reasoning will also be discussed.
