Abstract

There are a number of styles in conversation. Oratorical Cadence (Khitabiah Aahang) is a style that encompasses both non formal conversation as well as rhetorical formal speech. Here is a brief account of oratory used in literature as a tool of effective conversation.
Ahmad Javed (born 1948) is an Islamic Scholor, Orator, Sufi and a prominent modern Urdu poet with an acknowledged and unchallenged stature among his contemporaries. Ahmad Javed has used oratorical style in a more unique manner. His oratorical verses are profoundly ornamented with carefully choosen expressions to rightly and more justifiably represent his philosophical and Sufi thought. Hid deep knowledge of eastern tradition and socio-cultural atmosphere of subcontinent together with expertise in oriental languages has made this study more engaging.
