Abstract

Trade is a means of livelihood that creates a mutual connection between society and economy. Existence of Trade is important to meet the necessities of human lives. History shows that there have been many nations who primarily exchanged their native products with other nations. Arabs are specially mentioned among such nations because Trade was the best means of livelihood for them. Their geographical location of Arabian Peninsula is a desert area and mountainous region. Hardly any part of the land was fertile and yield was insufficient as compared to the population. Other necessities of life had to be managed as well, and hence Arabs heavily relied on trade. Since the Arabian Peninsula was also the gateway into the three largest continents, trade had become an essential part of their economy. Arab trading has continued through land and seas. One of the most important trade passes is the pass between Yemen and Syria. For the Quraish, Makkah was the center and it has always had a religious significance due to the Kaaba. The Quraish tribe had some sort of religious superiority because of their claim to be custodians of the Holy Kaaba. They played an important role in strengthening the Arab trade. The historical and primary trade passes of Arabian Peninsula, and products and the trade of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) have been briefly discussed in this article.
