All submissions are screened using Turnitin - a similarity detection software. The International Journal of Kashmir Studies follows a strict zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. Articles shortlisted by the Editorial Board undergo double-blind peer reviews (one national and one international). During this stage, articles may not be approved for publication by the referees. However, if they are found suitable for the Journal, reviewers may recommend either major or minor changes in the manuscript. The revision process might comprise multiple rounds. Peer review timelines vary depending on reviewer availability and responsiveness. 1. Manuscripts, articles and book reviews on themes of contemporary or historical interest, with particular reference to the Kashmir Conflict, will be welcomed. 2. The manuscript should be clearly typed on one side of the paper and should be double-spaced. Two copies should be submitted. 3. Bibliographies and footnotes should be placed at the end of the article. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively, and bibliographies should be arranged alphabetically. Foreign words should be underlined. 4. The manuscript should be sent on 3.5 inches floppy (preferably on MS Word) along with a typed hard copy on one side of the page only, double-spaced with wide margins. All pages should be numbered consecutively. 5. Bibliographical references should be accurate and complete in respect of the title, the name of the author, the year and the place of publication. 6. Utmost care should be taken to prepare statistical data for publication. All headings, columns, rows, symbols, units of measurement, periods, political and geographical areas, and sources should be clearly stated in each statistical table. 7. Tables, maps, and diagrams should be numbered and given at the end of the article, each on a separate sheet of paper. They should be clearly drawn so that they are suitable for photocopying. 8. The opinions expressed in articles and accuracy of facts rests solely with the contributors and should not be construed as representing the views of the Editor. Contents may not be produced without permission.
