There is a growing theoretical literature on differential dimensions of school context that directly affect the academic outcomes of high school students. Based on prior systematic review, the current study derived a convoluted intricate web model relationship between socio-educational predictors and students’ academic outcomes. N=2758 students’ were targeted in high schools of South Punjab, Pakistan. Using simple linear regression analysis, it was investigated that students’ engagement along with its multidimensional aspects mediates the relationship between socio-educational predictors (stakeholders’ participation, goal directness, learning context, along with engagement dimensions’) and academic performance in high schools of study vicinity. Using an open learning environment with radical structural reformations in schools can improve the students’ academic performance and engagement in learning context.
