In ancient times, social life was revolved around limited lines and the main symbol for strengthening relationships in a society was the exchange of gifts. This helped to express sincerity, devotion and love for friends, relatives, neighbours and teachers. According to Islamic teachings, sincerity, sacrifice and emotions are great gifts and the giver gives according to his ability with good intention and sincerity because the rightness of sincerity and intention creates an atmosphere of pleasure and love in the hearts. It is the best and most effective means of building unity and consensus. It is not the price of the thing in the gift, but the command to keep an eye on sincerity. The givers should also give something socially as a gift, which is considered praiseworthy and causes the relationship to be connected and not to break. In modern times, the practice is almost non-existent or vanishing from social screen. Similarly, gifts were given on the occasion of marriage are later demanded to be returned after mutual disharmony, which is undesirable and invalid. The current research work is an attempt to bring the Islamic and Talmudic concepts about gifts and Hadiya into the limelight because both divine religions presented various thematic views which illuminate the sympathetic and loving feelings of giving and taking gifts. Giving to the needy not only fulfill his needs but also increase the sense of sacrifice and compassion. Descriptive approach with the help of primary and secondary sources e.g. Holy Quran, Talmud, books of contemporary era and articles are highlighting the benefits and importance of today's gifts, in the light of Islamic teachings and Jewish jurisprudential sources Talmud.
