Abstract

Whirlpool of Voices is a long poem about East Pakistan. It is a story of wonder, sincerity and sorrow that Riaz Anwar has completed with years of hard work and dedication. This poem is based on a deep sense of nationalism. He sees the enchanting scenery and extreme poverty of East Bengal. Manjhi's songs that resonate with the changing landscapes of the rivers of Bengal and men, women and children dressed in torn old clothes teach him the greatness of love with their own eyes.
