Abstract

Iconography is such a genre of literature that working in between the Stream of art of characterization and history, causes awareness about the manners, moods, humors and temperament of an author along with his literary features. Certain personalities are so universal and multidimensional that a whole universe exists within them. One requires long and laborious effort of book readings for years to cover the positive as well as negative aspects of their personalities. Imagism is a genre that offers useful information about the required personality to the researcher or the intellectual within short span of time without facing hardships and deep efforts.
Imagism in Saraiki literature started with the publication of various writings in different journals nonetheless, published are not much in number, yet the works produced if not super flours in quantity, are, of course, up to the mark in quality.
In the critique under discussion, an effort is made to search the beginning and evolution of Saraiki Iconography along with a critical analysis of the works of Saraiki Iconographers.
