Yateem Jatoi is one of the glorious poet of his age is Siraiki poetry. He was the man with many qualities. He observed the depredation of British Raaj in India. People of this land were simple and tolerant. They were being tortured and punished by the Ruler and their Laws. Social evils wrapped these people in their clutches. Much custom like second marriage has also been one of the problems of this society. Poverty is also a taunt for poor people. They remain unable to fulfill their household duties like the marriages of their young daughter due to their poverty. Yateem Jatoi looks in depths of roots of his society. He is able to hunt up the social evils of society and aware of his people about such hurdles.
