Abstract

Beginning of Islam, companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to interpret the verses in a scientific manner. People were preached to in accordance with the available scientific resources at the time. Modern man seems to be convinced when taught using modern learning techniques, owing to the advancement of scientific knowledge. These educated minds want to understand the significance and truthfulness of the Qur’an in a logical and scientific manner. The question of the usefulness of scientific commentary and its social effects on the present world arises. The objective of the study is to highlight the scientific aspects of Qur’anic verses/ exegesis in view of present scientific theories. Data includes Holy Qur’an, Hadith, books, articles and online sources. The Qur'an is clear evidence of horizons and souls, as a remembrance, a card, to hear and see, or an intellect, to be used, as litigation, a word for it, to manage it, to remember. Scientific exegesis of Holy Qur’an is effective to attract the intellectual and educated minds. Because of its effectiveness, some scholars have adopted this methodology in writing exegesis to convince the new generation. Holy Qur’an invites people to ponder on universe and their own selves. Holy Qur’an includes verses which are linked with different sciences. There is no gap between science and Qur’an. Atheists and secular intellectuals misuses scientific theories and try to portray religion as the enemy of science. However, science supports Qur’an and Qur’an supports science.
