Abstract

Urdu language and Islamic literature has same antiquity, in emulation of Muslim poets and writers, non Muslim poets and writers also made their contribution to it. Since its beginning till half of 20th century it was confined to individual efforts after partition of India and formation of Pakistan collective efforts for its promotion were begun to make hence movement of Islamic literature came into being which made collective intellect focus on Islamic literature successfully and published various magazines for its dissemination, Monthly ''SAYYARAH'' Lahore   is one of these magazines, it played a role as a spokesperson of the movement, it presented all literary forms and genres in Islamic way, Naat being a part of its religious belief was greatly promoted by it and introduced a number of Naat writing poets, by keeping  in view this valuable contribution for promotion of Naats, this research note about Monthly ''SAYYARAH''and has been written.
