Abstract

In this article, a research and analysis are presented on the history of the Orientalism movement, which spans centuries.  The Orientalism movement includes people belonging to different religions and ideologies. This movement has many objectives and the methods they adopt to achieve them also change according to the time and people. An Orientalist one creates fictions to defame Islam and the other devotes his life to finding places in Islamic literature where he can attack Islam for the same purpose. Orientalists include those who spend their lives illuminating the world with the light of knowledge and in this movement, there are people whose purpose of life is nothing but to draw the veils of doubt over the beautiful face of truth.  It is not possible to decide whether the Orientalism movement is carrying good gifts for mankind at its feet or this movement is busy trying to throw the human race into the pit of misguidance.  The Orientalists can be understood in the light of the Orientalism movement, therefore the Orientalism movement has been divided into six periods.
