Abstract

Islam, a universal religion revealed through the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), is firmly rooted in the teachings of the Holy Quran. Throughout history, destructive ideologies like Pharaohism and Caesarism have plagued humanity, but the 20th century stands out for its unprecedented intellectual chaos and ideological conflicts. Secularism, emerging as one of the most harmful ideologies, has profoundly impacted the Islamic world by promoting materialism, alienating the Muslim Ummah from their faith, and diverting the youth from Islam’s spiritual essence.
This research examines the ideological challenges posed by secularism, its influence on the Islamic identity, and strategies to counteract its effects. The study seeks to answer key questions, including whether preaching alone can eradicate secularism and how to protect the youth from its materialistic pull. It emphasizes the need to eliminate internal divisions within the Muslim Ummah and foster unity to effectively address the secularist threat, safeguard the younger generation, and restore the Islamic spiritual heritage.
