Government has recently taken steps against illegal Afghans living in Pakistan, the refugees’ repatriation to their homeland increased many folds, and many Afghans planning to leave Pakistan soon. There are reports that so far about 6000 Afghans living illegally in Pakistan were arrested and sent back to their homeland under foreign act. Officials say that one of the major reasons was that UNHCR increased the return package to $400 per person.
