Overseas Pakistanis have set a new record in remittances, sending a total of $38.3 billion to Pakistan during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, according to the latest data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
This marks a 26.6% increase compared to the previous year’s $30.3 billion — a significant boost to Pakistan’s economy.
In June 2025 alone, Pakistan received $3.4 billion, up nearly 8% from the same month last year.
🔹 Top Sources of Remittances (June 2025):
• Saudi Arabia: $820 million
• UAE: $710 million
• UK: $530 million
• USA: $280 million
Experts attribute this surge to improved economic policies, better foreign exchange management, and increased trust in formal remittance channels.
These inflows are not only a lifeline for Pakistan's foreign reserves but also a pillar of economic stability, supporting families and contributing to national development.
