Answer By Dr Zakir Naik,someone collecting on behalf of anyone else its permitted but you should see to it that the person collecting should be honest, like an Imam of the Mosque, Alhamdulillah, no problem or an organization, it can be given,Sahih Bukhari Vol. no. 3 in the Book of Representations Hadith no. 2311 that
Abu Hurrarira (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihe wa sallam), he had appointed him to keep the Zakaat-ul-Fitr.He had appointed one of the collectors and there are other Hadith in Sahih Hadith of Ibn Khuzaima which says that when a person asks that when did Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "when did he used to give his Zakat-ul-Fitr?" So the person replies that after the collectors had finished.
