Plot:
The novel Ehd e Alast is based on different stories of different characters yet related somehow. So what is Ehd-e-Alast after all? In the light of Qur'an and Hadith, God first created all the spirits. HE gathered them in the Aalam-e-Arwah and made an Ehd, which means to hold witness. It is called the Ehd-e-Alast. He questioned the spirits, who is your GOD? All spirits replied YOU are. At present, it is believed that the spirits of the ones yet to be born were present there. The novel tells about the roles of any individual, one plays in the life of others, this role could be positive or negative, developing or destroying their lives. Lead characters of the Novel, Shehroz, Umer, Zara, Imama, Noor Muhammad all have different lives, roles, problems and struggles yet they are connected in a way. Tanzeela Riaz is a well-known and respectable name among Women Writers. She has a unique writing style and chooses different topics for her novels.
