Description

Dr. Hassan Jalil Shah, Adviser (HRD) HEC briefs about requirements and procedure for obtaining "PhD Scholarships for US Universities" for Fall 2021 & Spring 2022 under ‘US – Pakistan Knowledge Corridor’ initiative of HEC.

Applications have been invited from outstanding Pakistani/ AJK nationals for the award of PhD Scholarships in QS World Ranked US Universities.

Eligibility Criteria
a. Pakistani/ AJK nationals.
b. Minimum four-year Bachelor’s degree {BS/BSc/BE (16 years formal education)}
c. Maximum one 2nd Division and no 3rd Division in entire academic career.
d. Maximum age on the closing date shall not exceed:

i. 40 years in case of regular faculty members of Public Sector Universities/Government Colleges and Researchers of approved/registered R&D Organizations (Born after January 10, 1981)
ii. 35 years in all other cases on the closing date of the application (Born after January 10, 1986).

Merit Determination Formula:
e. GRE Scores-60% (Preference will be given to the higher scores)
f. Those having GRE waived by the host university will be required to appear in HAT test and get 60% score in addition to meeting the eligibility criteria of the host university.
g. HEC AEF Formula 30%.
h. Must not be availing any other Scholarship.

a. Application must be submitted online on HEC portal: https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk/
b. Closing date for the scholarship application is January 10, 2021
