The Aga Khan University’s Tele-ICU project was launched to address the shortage of trained healthcare workers in ICUs and HDUs at the national level during the #COVID19 pandemic. Since then, 21,000+ healthcare workers have been trained, and over 5,000 teleconsultations have taken place that saved the lives of many patients across Pakistan.
As the global pandemic recedes, the Tele-ICU project is continuing its mission to build the capacity of ICU/HDU physicians and staff, to better care for their neonatal, paediatric, and adult patients; 24/7 tele-consultations and focused education are ongoing.
