Description

Dr Adil Haider, Dean Medical College, in conversation with Professor Muhammad Khurshid. Dr Khurshid received Aga Khan University’s most prestigious rank of Distinguished University Professor at the 2022 global convocation ceremony. Dr Khurshid is only one of three individuals to ever receive this title.

Few individuals in education and healthcare have had the kind of enduring impact that Dr Khurshid has had. His invaluable contributions span across research, teaching and service. He is without a doubt, a complete scholar with a track record of sustained excellence. Over nearly four decades at AKU, he founded and Chaired two Departments, has been the Medical Director & Associate Dean Clinical Affairs, and from 2003-2009 served as Dean of the Medical College. He is a shining example of not only what is possible with determination and hard work, but also how to progressively exceed expectations by defying the odds to achieve what once seemed impossible. Upon being informed of this incredible honor, Dr Khurshid humbly said: “Thank you. I am speechless, I simply did what I could for my institution that I love.”
