As part of the collaboration agreement with the University of Cambridge in 2022, Team MAHSA second time visited The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
On their first day, Dr. Rabbeca Roberts and Affifa Khan, accompanied by Mr. Waqar Mushtaq and Dr. Moazzam Khan Durrani from the History and Anthropology departments respectively, during their four days visit to BWP started their stakeholder meetings. They started their day by visiting CDA, There they had a meeting with the Managing Director of CDA Syed Naeem Iqbal Bukhari and SDO Imtiaz Hussain Lashari. Dr. Rabbeca briefed the audience about project aims and objectives.

In the evening, they enjoyed a briefing of Dr. Moazzam Durrani regarding the Built Heritage at Noor Mahal Museum and witnessed the Light and Sound Show there. The day concluded with dinner at Bahawal Gym Khana.
The guests from the University of Cambridge had the opportunity to experience the built heritage of the region and expressed appreciation for IUB’s efforts in heritage preservation. They are optimistic about collaborating with other stakeholders such as CDA, the District Government, and other institutions.

Dr. Rabbeca mentioned that IUB’s role is highly productive and that they are leading the way as torchbearers in this field.
