Its seven verses (ayat) are a prayer for the guidance, lordship and mercy of God. This chapter has an essential role in Islamic prayer (salat). That is, sura Al-Fatiha is paired with rest of the whole Quran.
This video explains in detail how high a person gets by reciting Surah Al-Fatiha. The video states that if this Surah is recited before sunrise in the morning, all the difficulties will be eliminated by reciting it.
