The Committee on Government Assurance, chaired by Ms. Tashfeen Safdar, MPA, met to review departmental commitments and pending assurances. Attendees included Mr. Khalid Mehmood Ranjha, Parliamentary Secretary for Law, and several committee members. Parliamentarians raised concerns through adjournment motions on administrative and developmental issues. Representatives from the Agriculture, Auqaf, and Environment departments provided updates and committed to implementing directives. The chairperson emphasized departmental accountability and urged detailed briefings in future meetings. The session highlighted the committee’s oversight role and the importance of interdepartmental collaboration for improved governance.
