What a brilliant performance by Sri Lanka, a team on a mission to bring some joy to their nation despite such hard times! Their fighting spirit was admirable!! 🇱🇰🔥
Just like previous India vs Pakistan game, not many in the Indian batting lineup were able to perform to set a target that was above par. KL Rahul walked back with a single-digit score, meanwhile, Virat Kohli couldn’t get off the mark.
However, Indian Captain - Rohit Sharma - played an outstanding knock of 72 runs of 41 balls but wickets kept falling preventing a good total for India. Then comes Sri Lanka’s batting, they got an explosive start with an opening partnership of 97 runs.
After that, an over by Yuzi Chahal in which he took a couple of wickets that opened a window of hope for India’s success. Indian bowlers did go on to take a couple more wickets but the total was probably too less for them to defend as Sri Lanka chased it and went through to the Final!
