Liver cirrhosis is one of the common liver diseases in our country. It’s caused by many viral and non viral etiology. Common viral etiology includes chronic hepatitis B, C and D. Common non viral etiology includes autoimmune liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, primary biliary cirrhosis, Wilson disease, hemochromotosis, etc. Liver cirrhosis is a lifelong disease and has known set of complications like hepatic encephalopathy, Variceal bleeding, ascites, hepatorenal syndrome, liver cancer and others. Therefore, liver cirrhotic patients need to be monitored for these complications and different international measures must be adopted to prevent development of these complications.
Liver Cancer is one of the common complications of liver cirrhosis. Liver cancer is a fatal complication if not picked up in early stages and treated accordingly. Liver reaction is curative treatment option in early stages.
