حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ماہ مبارک رمضان تمہارے پاس آیا ہے ، اللہ نے اس کا روزہ تم پر فرض کیا ہے ، اس میں آسمان کے دروازے کھول دیے جاتے ہیں ، جہنم کے دروازے بند کر دیے جاتے ہیں اور سرکش شیاطین بند کر دیے جاتے ہیں ، اس (ماہ) میں ایک رات ہزار مہینوں سے بہتر ہے ، جو شخص اس کی خیر و بھلائی سے محروم کر دیا گیا تو وہ (ہر خیر و بھلائی سے) محروم کر دیا گیا ۔‘‘ ، رواہ احمد و النسائی ۔
