Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that a man went to meet one of his brothers who lived in another town, so Allah sent an angel to wait for him on his way. When that person passed by that place,) the angel asked him, Where do you intend to go? He said, I am going to meet one of my brothers living in this town. The angel said, Do you have any favor for him, and is there any right of blessing that you are going to fulfill and confirm. That man said, No! The reason for my going is nothing except that I love this brother for the sake of Allah (that is, I am going to visit and meet him only because of the relationship and requirement of love for Allah). The angel said, I tell you, that I have been sent by Allah to tell you that Allah loves you as you love His servant for Allah's sake. (Sahih Muslim) Interpretation This incident which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has described in this hadith, apparently belongs to an individual of a later Ummah, and it also became known that sometimes angels can come to a non-prophet by the order of Allah, and that Two Bedouins can talk like this, Hazrat Jibreel (AS) coming to Hazrat Maryam Siddiqa by Allah's command, and talking to her, is also mentioned in the Holy Quran. Although it is known that Hazrat Maryam was not a prophet. The real spirit of this incident and the special purpose of the Prophet ﷺ from his statement was to clarify the fact that a servant of Allah loves his brother for the sake of Allah and goes to meet him with the requirement of this love for Allah. It is the act that makes this loving servant the beloved of Allah Almighty, and sometimes it happens that Allah Almighty conveys the message of His love to him through His special angel. فتوبى لهوم وَبوشرى لهوم (Blessed be they and good tidings be unto them). Maarif Hadith 280 It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr Ghafari that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: The most beloved of the deeds of the servants to Allah is the love that is for Allah, and the hatred and enmity that is for Allah. (Sunan Abi Dawud) Interpretation For a person to be in such a state that he loves only for the sake of Allah, and hates someone for the sake of Allah, is undoubtedly a very high position. Maarif Hadith 277 It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Umama that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever loves a servant for the sake of Allah, he has glorified and honored his Lord. (Musnad Ahmad) Interpretation In other words, a person's love for another person for the sake of Allah and for the sake of Allah is actually paying the right to the majesty of Allah Ta'ala and thus it is counted among the acts of worship of Allah Ta'ala. Maarif Hadith 278 On the authority of Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: Allah says that my love is obligatory for those who love each other because of me, and because of me and because of me. Gather together and meet one another for my sake, and spend with one another for my sake. (Mu'ta Imam Malik)
