Description

It was narrated from Hazrat Radiyallahu Taala Anhu that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: The dealings of a believer are also strange, in every case and in every situation there is only good for him. He gives thanks to his Lord and it is good for him, and if any sorrow or grief befalls him, he (believing in the decision of his wise and merciful Lord and His providence) endures it. He does and this patience is also completely good and a source of blessing for him. (Muslim)

Interpretation
Suffering and comfort in this world are for everyone, but to attain the closeness of Allah Almighty and His pleasure through this suffering and comfort is the part of only those believers who have established such a faith connection with Allah Almighty. That they give thanks to Allah Almighty in every hour of anxiety, rest, joy and happiness, and when they are afflicted with any pain and sorrow, and any unpleasantness happens to them, then they do it with all the glory of servitude. Be patient. And since sorrows, happiness and unhappiness are such things that human life is never devoid of, so the hearts of these servants of God are always filled with the qualities of patience and gratitude.
