Hazrat Aisha (R.A.) says that I have not seen any person whose illness is more serious than the illness of Prophet (PBUH). (Bukhari and Muslim)

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masoud (RA) says that (once) I attended the service of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) at that time when he (PBUH) had a fever. Do you have a high fever? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Yes, I have a fever equal to two of your men." Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud says, "I said that it will be because you will get double the reward." He said yes! And then he said, "Whoever suffers a Muslim due to illness or any other reason, Allah removes his sins through him (in the same way as a tree removes its leaves).
