Description

Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (R.A.) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "It is better for a person to spend one dirham in the cause of Allah when he is healthy than to spend a hundred dirhams in the cause of Allah at the time of his death." (Abu Dawood)

Explanation:
This means that spending a small amount of your wealth in the cause of Allah while you are healthy is better than spending a lot of wealth when you are dead, and it is a source of greater reward. Mishkut al-Masabih 1866


Hazrat Abu Dharr (RA) says that once I came to the service of the Prophet (PBUH) when he (PBUH) was sitting in the shadow of the Kaaba. When the Holy Prophet's eyes fell on me, he said, "By the Lord of the Kaaba, those people are very broken." He (peace be upon him) said, "Those who accumulate more wealth, yes!" Those who are exempted are those who spend their wealth in every way and everywhere for the pleasure of Allah. But such people are few (Bukhari and Muslim).

Explanation:
Since Hazrat Abu Dharr Ghafari (R.A.) had made poverty and poverty the distinction of his life and thus turned his back on the comforts of the world and preferred poverty and poverty to wealth and wealth, therefore the Prophet ﷺ comforted him and He said this for the satisfaction of his heart.
