Umm al-Mu'minin Hazrat Aisha (R.A.) says that the Holy Prophet (SAW) said, "When a person confesses his sin (with regret and shame) and then repents, then Allah accepts his repentance." (Bukhari and Muslim)

Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Allah extends His hand at night so that those who sin during the day repent, and He extends His hand during the day so that those who sin at night repent until the sun sets.” Get out of the way. (Muslim)

Explanation:
Spreading the hand is actually a metaphor for asking, so when a person asks something from someone, he spreads his hand in front of him, so Allah spreads his hand in the night, etc. The meaning of this is that Allah calls the sinners to repentance! Some people say that extending the hand of Allah Ta'ala is a mockery of His mercy and forgiveness. The last words of the hadith, "Until the sun rises from the west", means that this series of repentance from Allah will continue until the sun rises from the west instead of the east at the end of the day. Because when the sun rises from the west, the door of repentance will be closed. No one's repentance will be accepted after that.
