Hazrat Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Praise (praise of God) is the head of gratitude.
Description:
Praise means praise of Allah with the tongue and thanksgiving with the heart and limbs. Therefore, praise of Allah is a branch of thanksgiving to Allah. Praise is called the head of thanksgiving because it is an act of the tongue, and the blessings of God Almighty and its praise are best expressed by the tongue itself. That is why it has been said that a servant who does not praise Allah does not give thanks to Allah Almighty. In addition to cleanliness and purification, he should also protect his appearance.
Hazrat Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) when people started shouting Takbir on one occasion. Be gentle with your souls (ie do not say takbeer so loudly) because you do not call (by takbeer) to a deaf or dumb person or do not remember, but you call on the one who hears and sees and they He is with you (ie He is aware of your situation wherever you are, whether you remember Him aloud or in a low voice, both are equal to Him) and whatever you call upon, Is even closer to the neck of the rider. Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: At that time he was riding on a camel behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he was reciting in his heart that there is no power except with Allah. Shall I not tell you one of the treasures of heaven? I said. Yes, O Messenger of Allah! Definitely tell! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: That treasure is inexhaustible. (Bukhari and Muslim)
Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
