Hazrat Jundab (RA) says that the Holy Prophet (SAW) said: Whoever does something for the sake of gaining fame and fame, then Allah will inform him of his condition and humiliate him. He will punish you, that is, on the Day of Resurrection he will tell you to ask for your reward from the one for whom you did it. (Bukhari and Muslim)
Description:
Some people have said that the meaning of the hadeeth is that whoever does a good deed only for the sake of gaining fame and notoriety and for the sake of gaining honor, then Allaah will expose his faults and evil deeds in this world before His creatures. Whom He hides and will disgrace in the eyes of the people, or that Allah will expose the evil intentions and evil intentions of such a person to the people of this world and will expose them to His creatures on the Day of Resurrection. That this person was not sincere, was a hypocrite. And some of the scholars have said that whoever reveals his deeds to the people or shows them his deeds, then Allah will reward him for his good deeds only on the Day of Resurrection. Not so that he may be saddened, or it may mean that whoever does good deeds to the people, or shows the deeds to the people, may Allah, according to his intention, make the deeds heard and show them to the people. And as if this deed will be the reward of his deeds which he will get in this world and he will be completely deprived of the reward of this world.
