Hazrat Nu'man ibn Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: The example of a believer and death is like a man who has three friends, one is wealth, he said: Take as much as you want, the other said I am with you. When you die, I will take you down to the grave. And the third said: I am with you, and I will go out with you. The first friend is wealth, the second friend is his wife and children, and the third friend is his deeds. The correct series 3308
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Great reward is with great misery, and when Allah loves a people, He puts them to the test. It is pleasing to Allah, and Allah is angry with the one who is angry. The correct series 3255

Hazrat Musab ibn Sa'd narrates from his father Sa'd that I said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): Who among the people is most harsh? He said: On the Prophets, then close to them, then close to them, man is tested according to his religion. If his religion is strong, his trial will be severe. If there is any softness in his religion, he will be tested according to his religion. There is always some temptation on the servant, even if it leaves him in a state where he walks on the earth, but no sin remains for him.
