Description

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to say in the presence of God: And against the requirement of cognition, forgive me for the act of ignorance which I have committed, and forgive me in whatever case I have transgressed the limits of your command and your pleasure. O my God! Forgive me for the sins that have been committed against me in jest and for the sins which I have committed thoughtfully and seriously. Forgive me, my lord! I am gone, and forgive me for what I have done intentionally. And (O my Lord! You know that) I have made all these kinds of mistakes. (Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim).


It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: He will pave the way for him to attain it. He will remove all his worries and anxieties and will give him openness and satisfaction, and will provide for him in ways which he would not even think of. (Musnad Ahmad, Sunan Abi Dawood, Sunan Ibn Majah)

Description
The real purpose of istighfr and its subject matter is to get one's sins forgiven by Allah so that the servant may be saved from their torment and calamity but it is also known from the Quran It has been said that istighfفارr also causes many worldly blessings and the servant gets a lot in this world as well. May Allah grant us certainty and action.

It should be noted that this promise is not only for reciting the words of Istighfar with the tongue, but also for the reality of Istighfar which has already been explained, may Allah Almight
