PNS HUNAIN DELIVERS MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO DHOW AT SEA
Pakistan Navy Ship HUNAIN is currently deployed on Regional Maritime Security Patrol in Arabian Sea. During its patrol, ship intercepted a distress call from an Iranian Fishing Vessel Al Yasir, which had been at sea for two months. The vessel which was almost 600 NM away from its homeport, communicated that it was in dire need of ration and also needed urgent medical aid.
Upon receiving information, PNS HUNAIN responded promptly by dispatching its Maritime Special Warfare Team with ration and medications. Medical Officer of PN Ship also boarded the fishing vessel to provide treatment to two crew members of the boat who were observed in poor health. The crew of Al Yasir thanked PN team for their support and quick response to their call.
Pak Navy is committed to effectively ensure Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) while safeguarding National Maritime frontiers.
