Keel laying ceremony of first MILGEM Class Corvette for Pakistan Navy held at Turkey. CNO (Turkey) Cdre Syed Rizwan Khalid was CG. The contract for 04 corvettes for PN with ToT was signed with ASFAT which entails construction of 02 corvettes at Turkey & 02 at Pakistan (KS&EW). The MILGEM Class Corvettes will be technologically most advanced platforms of Pakistan Navy, equipped with modern surface, subsurface & anti-air weapons, sensors & Combat Management System. These ships will contribute in maintaining peace, stability & balance of power in IOR.
