Young people and artists organized a musical protest in response to the murder of a University of Malakand student who was killed in a car crash after being reportedly kicked out of the dorm for performing rabab on campus.
Hunari Tolona, Mafkoora, the Pakistan Development Foundation, and the Forum for Inquiry, Knowledge, and Review organized the demonstration.
According to a statement released here, several young artists staged a demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club, where they performed rababs in protest of the death of Muhammad Musa Khan, a University of Malakand sixth-semester student.

Protesters were brandishing banners and posters with pro-Musa Khan slogans. Participants in the demonstration were Hayat Roghani, Professor Gulzar Jalal, Yousaf Anwar, Mohammad Bilal Sethi, Advocate Haider Jan, Salman Omar, Fareedoon Khan, Haris Kamal, Advocate Arbab Ifrahim, and Shaheer Chagharmatti.
