Geo News Special – Iftar Dinner Hosted In London For Victims Of 2017 Fire

A multicultural iftar dinner was organized in London by Al-Manar mosque and the Muslim Aid to commemorate a tragedy of fire that erupted in the 24-storey Grenfell Tower during the holy month of Ramazan 2017. London mayor, MPs, and members of different religious communities, including Christian, Sikh, Budh and Hindu, attended the event. The participants demanded early rehabilitation of the fire victims. Speakers said different buildings face threats at the hands of cladding. London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the hate crimes will be brought under control. A member from the organizers said, “We hosted iftar in memory of those who lost their lives in the fire.”
