Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam laureate MEP Wajid Khan is contesting elections for the European parliament on the Labour Party’s ticket. “I’m the strongest candidate of the Labour Party,” Khan told Geo News. “Unlike the Tory Party, our party caters to the need of each and every single citizen. Our party manifesto pertains to social justice and equality.” He said the Labour Party is a party of the working class as it speaks about the rights of immigrants. After the referendum, the hate crimes and Islamophobia increased in Britain, he was of the view. He called upon the Pakistani community to vote for the Labour’s candidates on May 23.
