On Monday, Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) and former president, expressed his desire to see Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the party's chairman and Foreign Minister, become the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He made this statement while conversing with local government representatives in Nawabshah. Zardari hopes to witness Bilawal take the highest office in the country during his lifetime, and he believes that removing Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister, is crucial to protect the nation.

Zardari also emphasised that the PPP is presently an ally of the government, and that a PPP-led government in the future would prioritise job creation for the people. He added that development work has already begun in Shaheed Benazirabad and that he has assisted the victims of the recent heavy rains in every way possible.

Furthermore, Zardari recalled the outpouring of support from the public after his father's death and acknowledged that people are now rallying behind Bilawal and Asifa. While he longs to meet everyone in Dina, he understands that visiting each home individually is not feasible, so he decided to connect with them through a call. He stressed the need to maintain unity and consensus among themselves to work towards a better future for the next generation and urged everyone to put in diligent efforts towards this goal.
