Abstract

A detailed model of social exchange factors (cooperative team environment, employee participation, andprocedural justice) and their impact on work environment creativity is examined in this paper. It is testedon the sample of 200 employees from banking industry of Pakistan. 5 major banks were selected for datacollection across the vicinity of two cities i.e. Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It is found that Social exchangefactors have positive impact on work environment creativity. Moreover, adhocracy culture positivelymoderates the relationship of social exchange factors with work environment creativity. It is also foundthat expert’s knowledge sharing mediates the relationship of procedural justice and work environmentcreativity. This study can help organizations and practitioners in a better Human Resource Managementi.e. incorporating these factors at the workplace can help in improving the workplace creativity whichwill ultimately leads to improved employee performance. This study is of equal significance forpractitioners and academicians.
