Abstract

In modern linguistics the study of the fundamental principles of style and its constituents is called stylistics. Stylistic analysis strikes a subtle balance between linguistics and aesthetics. There are many tools with which prose can be analyzed. This paper employs those tools to analyse the stylistic aspects of epistolary writings of the selected women writers.  The stylistic approach and themes of the selected women writers exhibit a stylistic range typical of women writers. The fundamental components of such stylistic range comprise feminine individuality, a feminine way of expressing subjective emotions along with reaction to external factors etc. Therefore, the works manifest a typical stylistic aura typical of the writings of sub-continent's women writers.
