Abstract

In the evolution of Urdu ghazals, where poets have contributed a lot, women poets have also played an important role in advancing its evolution. Instead of traditional themes, women poets have tried hard to present the specific social, political, economic, and moral situation of their era through ghazals and have given the impression through their poetic sensibility that women are more sensitive, conscious, and intelligent than men. Has understanding and a deep understanding of the whole narrative of social change.In this paper, poets from Parveen Shakir to Samina Gul have been critically evaluated, and it has been made to prove that female poets have enriched the genre of ghazal more than male poets and played a key role in its evolution.
