A society is a group of human beings who are related to each other in the form of relationship. when an individual become too much dependent on any interpersonal relation, will involve in addictive behavioral patterns. A behavioral or process addiction is when a person feels compelled to engage in a rewarding non-substance related behavior, even if that behavior has a negative influence on their financial, physical, emotional, or mental wellness. The main objective of the current research was development of addictive relationship scale in Urdu language. The data (N= 350) was obtained from two cities (Gujrat & Gujranwala) by using Convenient sampling technique from adults and adolescence with age range (15-40). Total 50 items were developed through adequate process with the help of Griffiths six core components of addiction. A sample of 350 participants with age range 16 to 40 were used for data collection through convenient sampling. After analysis the sample adequacy was 0.926 with 4 factors including salience, conflict, relapse and tolerance. CFA is .951 with removal of further 5 items, GFI is .90, Root Mean Square Error of Approximation is .07, CMID/DF is 3.0 with reliability of α = .93. 5 items subscale “Relapse” reliability value is α = .92, 4 items subscale “tolerance” reliability is α = .93, 4 items subscale “tolerance” reliability value is α = .87 and 4 items subscale “salience” reliability value is α =.88. The finding of the current research will provide direction to new researches and awareness about relationship addiction.
