Abstract

Very correctly stated, " Time and Tide waits for none," so we have entered a new year 2020. It has been a mind enriching year for JPMA. More articles submitted from all over the world especially our own country. More work for the editorial board members and the office staff. The office premises have been renovated, making the place appear roomy and pleasant. The number of submissions have risen. It is a pleasure to welcome research articles from the section of Physical Medicine and Medical Education. Both subjects are important and most authors are doing standard research. These articles have attracted many readers. It is a pleasure to inform our readers that we have included the Doi number to all published articles since October 2019. This will improve the visibility of the publications. It is my pleasant duty to extend thanks to all our peer reviewers, stats reviewers, Bibliographers, copy editors, printers and web experts .It is always a joint effort to achieve success. The section editors, Dr. Aamna Hasan from Lahore for Images, Dr. Sanjay Kalra from India for Primary Care Diabetes and Advances in Endocrinology and Dr.Shahzad Shamim from Karachi for Neuro-oncology have worked hard also.with their colleagues to produce classic articles for our readers. Asra and Chandni, the bright young students have been doing good work in the office and have been trained on many aspects.Chandni Devi is the editor of the student's Corner. It is an opportunity to learn letter writing, making telephone calls for reminders, and maintaining the data base, all under supervision. They have lately been joined by Salman another junior colleague who is also learning rapidly. Our board members, Dr. Sina Aziz and Dr. Syed Muhammad Mobin coming in regularly for looking after the office work have been joined by another senior colleague, Dr. Anwar Siddiqui who was earlier at the Aga Khan University, Karachi. I also wish to extend my gratitude to all our PMA office bearers for their continued help. Dr. Anwar Khawja, our Managing secretary, who has always been a pillar of support. Thanks are also due to our office staff lead by Mr. Abdul Majid for their sincere efforts for improving JPMA. It is hard work but the joint efforts bears its fruits and brings the joy of seeing the improving quality and status of the first pubmed indexed journal of Pakistan. At this point we remember our colleagues who are no more with us. It was their contribution and efforts which will always be remembered.
