In this issue, Jahanabadi and colleagues describe their study in which they investigated the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of Solanum melongena, Nawaz, et al, showed that the cardioprotective effects of Malus domestica (apple) may be mediated through antiplatelet, calcium channel blocking, and antioxidant activities, Khan and his colleagues reviewed and discussed the endogenous and exogenous natural sources of inhibition of arachidonic acid-induced platelet aggregation, Ullah et al, shared a comprehensive review on the therapeutic potential of natural phytocompounds and plant extracts for treating major depressive disease, and Altaf and her colleagues compiled and reviewed studies that show natural inhibition of β-secretase in Alzheimer’s disease by medicinal plants.
