Abstract


The effect of pyrazinamide on serum uric acid and urinary excretion of uric acid was studied in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. A rise in serum uric acid concentration during drug therapy was associated with a fall in urinary excretion of uric acid. No significant difference was observed between two and three months of drug administration. one out of twenty patients developed arthralgia
